anaconda.org: logistro

logistro is an extremely light addition to Python's standard logging module, providing sensible defaults so you can drop it into a project without boilerplate. It introduces a new `debug2` level for verbose dumps, a `betterConfig()` helper that applies sane formats (and exception-aware logging) without interfering with `format=`, and a `getLogger()` that auto-applies it. For subprocesses, `getPipeLogger()` returns a writable pipe FD that can be passed to `subprocess.Popen(stderr=...)`, so a child's stderr is forwarded into the already-thread-safe logging library. It ships two formatters (`human_formatter`, `structured_formatter` for JSON), CLI flags (`--logistro-level`, `--logistro-human`, `--logistro-structured`), and helpers to switch formats mid-execution.
